Are they too tight?
Skinny pants have become highly popular among young Thai people. Many Thai rock stars, such as Toon Bodyslam, likes to wear this style of pants. However, if one is familiar with the world of fashion, one will know that trends change fast. A decade ago, flare leg pants were popular. Now skinny pants are popular. Who knows 10 years from now, what kind of pants will be popular.
Korean TV series
Among many other things that we received from Korean culture, TV series is the most popular. A lot of Thai have turned away from Thai soap opera to TV series from South Korea. This is significant because when we watch a TV series, we learn and receive their culture. For example, Korean hairstyle is now a trend among Thai teenagers. People think they only watch a film, while in fact, they absorb others' culture.
Smart-phones
Phone has become an important part of our life. More specifically, smart-phones are the latest trend. A smart-phone is more than a just phone. It can play musics and videos, display pictures, surf the web and provide gaming experience. In Thai culture, smart-phones have never been more popular. It is so very common to see people carrying smart-phones. Smart-phones have become part of our culture.

Taxi?...
In many major cities in Thailand, especially Bangkok, there are taxis everywhere. Taxis are very popular because they are cheap, convenient, and most of the time, comfortable. It is possible to say that taxis are part of urban Thai culture. A life without taxis would be unbearable.

Aren;t they cute?
For a very long time, dogs have been a part of Thai society. Dogs are so common and they are to be seen everywhere. It would be impossible to imagine Thailand without dog. They have grown deeply into the culture.

Too early?
No matter how many things have changed in Thai society, the faith of Thai people in religions has not. In the picture, a Thai boy is presenting food to a monk. In Thai, it is called Tak Baht. This service is always practice in the morning. It is believed that whoever practices this, will receive merit.
Let's drink and ride
In the picture above, a man is riding a modified motorcycle. In Thailand, the habit of coffee drinking has come and blossomed some years ago. It created a new culture affected from the top to the bottom of the society. Nowadays, people are able to buy cups of coffee virtually from anywhere; Starbucks, Coffee World, or this "coffee-cycle".

Spiritual Mind
Temples have been the center for Thais for hundred of years. It is possible to say that temples are embedded in Thai culture and in every Thai.

Yummy...?
In order to understand one's culture, it is best to look one's food. Taking Thai food for example, although we have a number of original recipes, we opened and received food from different countries and cultures. It is then possible to say Thai culture has an open-minded. It is conservative and at the same time, liberal.

Brand or No Brand
As the society grows bigger and wealthier, brand-name materials become even more desirable objects. People consider the exchange value more important than the actual value of the product. That changes the way people see and live their lives, Thus it changes their culture. As this picture shows, a university student is holding a very expensive handbag. Though with no income, she is determined to acquire it. The culture is getting more and more materialistic each day and people lose their touch with themselves, nature and their actual needs.

buy and sell & eat and drink
As people from other cites move to Bangkok, they bring along their culture and lifestyle. This is a picture of a market in one of the most populated areas in Bangkok. As you can see, people here choose shop in a stall-style market, rather than in shopping malls. Merchants often cook and sell right within their stalls. This creates a new lifestyle and also new culture.

Fishy Fish!!!
In my opinion, "culture" is disappearing and being replaced with "cultures". As the world becomes smaller and easier to connect, thanks to all the advanced technologies, different cultures emerge together. As any typical Thais would know that Japanese food is among the most popular in Thailand. It comes in various forms; from 5-star hotels to carts on the sidewalk. People love sushi. Though it is still being recognized as a Japanese recipe, I strongly believe that one day it will be a part of Thai cuisine as it already is in Thai culture.

Contrasting Worlds
This picture clearly signifies the difference between traditional Thai and modern Thai culture. With a traditional style building in the front, it shows how Thai culture used to be. With tall buildings in the back, it projects how Thai culture is and where it is heading. Our society is thriving toward modernity with the support of traditional foundation. It is sort of a rare but rather magnificent "remedy".

A Hectic Lifestyle
This picture pretty much summed up the lifestyle of many Bangkokians and it created a new culture. People need to get up early in the morning and rush to work. They work from 9 to 5 and go back home. In the picture, too many people are heading in the same direction at the same time. As a result, they stuck in the traffic. While in their cars, some do their make-ups, some have their breakfast and so on. This is the lifestyle of urbanity and this is called urban-culture.

This is culture NO.1
This photo was taken in a restaurant at Siam Paragon. What stroke me, was this restaurant doesn't use conventional ordering system; waiters and waitresses, rather it uses a computer. When customers want to place orders, they simply touch on the screen in front of them and order. This, to me, shows that how today's culture involves and depends highly on technology. Half a century ago, the idea of computerising is merely an imagination, now life without it is just unimaginable.
